Welcome / Bienvenue
Baergli Bernese Mountain Dogs Reg’d
About us / A propos
We are a small breeder with a great love for these beautiful dogs. We are located in Quebec, just west of the Island of Montreal, about a half hour from the Ontario border. We are members of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Canada, the Canadian Kennel Club, and the Lakeshore Dog Training Association.
Our breeding goal is to improve the breed, its longevity and health. In selecting breeding dogs, we focus on breed type, temperament, and health. Before even considering a breeding, we carry out a comprehensive series of health tests to ensure that our dogs are sound. In selecting a mate for one of our dogs, we carefully investigate pedigrees and related offspring. In selecting homes for our puppies, we interview potential puppy owners extensively (preferably in person) to ensure that our puppies are the best match for their forever families. Our hope is that all our puppies live up to their full potential, be excellent examples of the breed and bring immeasurable joy to their families.
Our Dogs / Nos chiens
We currently have three Berners – Baer (8 years old; BG#136815); Samara (4 years old, BG#194872); and Sami’s daughter Guinnie (2 years old; BG#206552). You can view details on each dog on the Bernese database Bernergarde using their BG numbers. We are actively involved with our dogs in conformation and obedience. We have also trained in scent detection, draft and tracking.
Puppies / Chiots
We just sent our “I” litter (pictured above) to their new homes; our next litter plans are for summer 2025. We welcome all inquiries.
